In 1970 the Beatles invited producer Phil Spector to work on their recordings from the abandoned Get Back project to make it into a usable album. Phil used his creative talents to rework the song arrangements and in some cases the sounds to produce the smash album, Let It Be. Paul McCartney was never a fan of Phil’s overdubbing of Paul’s song “The Long and Winding Road” and said it was done without his knowledge. In 2003 “Let It Be, Naked” was released and Phil’s inputs were stripped from the songs.
By the way, Phil is serving a 19 year prison sentence for the 2003 2nd degree murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
